Collections

Reading collections

A collection is a short route through the guide for one specific situation. Instead of leafing through every section in turn, pick the route that suits you and read three pages in the suggested order. Each collection starts with the basics and ends with more detailed material.

A beginner does not need to know everything at once. A few rules, working brakes and a light are enough; the rest comes with experience.

— Editors' view

Each collection is made up only of guide pages that have already been published. We mark which pages are good for getting started and which are worth reading once you have the basics down. The rules quoted are the Russian traffic rules; check your local ones.

Information on the rules follows the text of the Russian traffic rules as of the date the material was prepared; it is worth checking the current version before you ride, and riders elsewhere should check their local traffic rules. Care tips are general: if your bike's manual says otherwise, follow the manual, and leave complex repairs, especially brakes, to a mechanic.
